LIME LIGHT!


I loooove lime !! I  put it almost in everywhere I can, I put it on cooking, I put in my meal (soto= chicken/meat soup) I even drink it when I have cough (1 tbs of fresh lime juice mix with 1 tea spoon of soy sauce) .  Since I’m trying to stick on my program, I came across this article about detox. And when we speak about detox, we will start with the most important part of body that responsible for detoxify, Liver.
Liver is the largest organ in the body that responsible for filtering damaging toxin. And lime that contains high Vitamin C help liver work at best. Lime juice enhances digestion and can reduce contaminations of the blood that can result in the formation of dangerous free radicals (group of atoms form to create free radicals that can cause problems for the body when they react with the body DNA or cell membrane in organs such as the liver). When affected by free radicals, cells no longer perform well and can begin to break down. Antioxidants such as Vitamin C found in lime juice react with free radicals, halting the damage they can cause to the body.
NUTRITIONAL VALUE OF LIMES
The fresh raw juice of one lime has about 27 calories, 0.44g protein, 0.1g fat, 0.24g ash, 9g carbohydrates, 0.4 dietary fiber and 1.69g sugar. Nutritionally, they are an excellent source of vitamin C, with even higher concentration than lemons, oranges or grapefruit.

CLEANSE DIET
The master-cleanse diet includes lime juice in an attempt to reduce weight and detoxify the liver, kidneys, colon and blood. This diet uses a mixture of water, lime juice, cayenne pepper and grade-B maple syrup; it achieves its aims by adding only good aspects of vitamins and minerals to the body and reducing the intake of elements that may be bad for the body.
7 DAYS LIVER DIET
By introducing large amounts of lime juice to the diet, the level of toxicity in the liver is reduced.  For the first three days of detox, 10 to 12 glasses of water should be consumed with fresh lime squeezed into the water. ·         1 English cucumber, cut in half lengthwise
·         1/2 lime, zest and pith removed
·         1 apple, cut into wedges
Starting with the basil, juice everything into a glass, give it a stir and enjoy.

 You can also try this method for full detox program:
1. Do deep breathing or gentle yoga
2. Take a couple of spoonfuls of extra virgin olive oil at night to help stimulate your liver to eliminate bile and keep its circulation flowing.
3.  If your bowel movements get sluggish, you can accelerate things by drinking half a shot glass of castor oil followed by a glass of water or using a mild herbal laxative. Bowel elimination is paramount for correct detoxification.
4. The skin gets rid of many toxin so it is important to sweat, either by exercising or taking a sauna.
5. Finally, make sure you eat whole organic foods, which have the best chance of having all the nutrient needed for liver and general detoxification.
